Meet Serena Camacho, the client and carrier team leader who is part of Candor Expedite’s 100% year-over year revenue growth. With nearly 20 years under her belt in the transportation industry, Serena joined Candor Expedite in January 2022 supporting founder Nicole Glenn’s vision to build the smartest and most efficient freight business that delivers on its clients’ promises.
Serena is responsible for creating the team and processes for both client and carriers’ relationships throughout the lifecycle of Candor’s shipment. Communication, Transparency and Realistic Expectations are Serena’s three mantras for doing business today. Her function is internally referred to as Mission Control.
Logistics is in Serena’s DNA having held just about every position in the industry including dispatcher, terminal manager, and various sales roles. These positions taught her the basics of moving freight, how to secure cargo, the process of vetting drivers, dealing with the TSA, putting processes in place – and more importantly, the biggest challenges both shippers and carriers face each day.
Prior to Candor, Serena honed her sales and operations skills at two large transportation companies. She spent nearly 14 years at Forward Air, where she worked in a variety of roles; most recently as Area Sales Manager; and as an Operations Manager at Pinch Air.
